Rionegro is where most of Medellín's international flights land — and where many travelers spend their first or last night. Our team runs daily routes to Rionegro hotels with the same flat pricing.
Rionegro sits on the eastern plateau 35 km outside Medellín, anchored by the Parque de la Libertad, the colonial center and the José María Córdova (MDE) airport on the city outskirts. It is a different climate zone from Medellín — cooler nights, higher altitude (2,125m), and a residential profile that skews toward weekend-home owners and US/Canadian retirees. Our Rionegro route is daily but operates with a 2-3 hour minimum lead time for the 60-90 minute drive from Poblado.
Immunity Boost ($110) for altitude-adjustment travelers, Hydration drips for finca weekend visitors, NAD+ Therapy ($549) for residents running monthly protocols, and the occasional pre-flight Myers for travelers heading out via MDE. The cooler climate and higher altitude mean dehydration symptoms can sneak up faster on day-one visitors than in Medellín proper.
Parque de la Libertad and the colonial historic center, the Llanogrande-side residential corridor (covered separately on its own page), the MDE airport perimeter for pre-flight bookings, Belén Rionegro and the apartment buildings along the Vía Llanogrande corridor. The longer drive is reflected in the lead time, not the price — flat pricing still applies.
Hotels and short-term rentals near the José María Córdova airport, the Rionegro centro, and properties along the airport-to-Llanogrande corridor.
Land at JMC, check in at your Rionegro hotel, and skip the 45-minute downhill ride to Medellín. Our nurse meets you at your room within 60-90 minutes for jet-lag hydration.
Same flat USD pricing as Medellín — Hangover ($110), Jet Lag/Immunity ($110), NAD+ Therapy ($549). 8am-10pm daily.
